#BAGGS 2019 Cosmetology Instructor!

We are super excited to share with you this amazing opportunity for our impressionable girls!

Please join us as we welcome our #Baggs 2019 Cosmetology Coach,

Entrepreneur, and Owner of Hair Sensation Salon of Eustis, Florida.

Mrs. Selma “Poochie” Bentley!

We are proud to have Poochie as she is affectionally called, as one of our coaches for our girls this year! Poochie has over 30 years of experience in the art of cosmetology and

more than 20 years’ experience as a successful entrepreneur!

Poochie’s motto is, “If your hair is not becoming to you,

you should be coming to Hair Sensation!”

Along with the Cosmetology Instructors of Lake Technical College,

Poochie will host our, Ohhh girl, who did your hair?! Cosmetology Workshop!

During this creative hands-on workshop, our girls will have an opportunity to explore the art of cosmetology and the different career opportunities associated with the beauty industry. Our girls will learn that Cosmetology is a career that includes caring for clients' hair, skin, and nails.

They will explore important concepts of entrepreneurship and basic business principles to prepare our girls for the vast opportunities in the exciting beauty industry worldwide!

Poochie was born in Exmore, Virginia and raised in Eustis, Florida. She graduated from Lake County Vo- Tech, Eustis, Florida (since re-named Lake Technical College) with a license in cosmetology. In addition, Poochie attended Lake Sumter Community College in Leesburg, Florida graduating with an Associate of Science degree in Business Management.

Her mother Mrs. Helen Golden, whom recently gained her wings to be with the Lord was a major influence in her life. “Many of the attitudes, convictions and

behaviors are because of mom, she taught me to fear and respect God.”

Poochie is a loving wife to her husband Zack and strong mother of 3 adult sons, 11 grandchildren and 4 great grands!! During her free time, she enjoys, spending

time with her family, traveling, shopping and you know…playing BINGO!

The song she sings aloud when no one is around is, “Trust in you.”

By Anthony Brown & Group Therapy!

Her favorite saying is, God did not create me to worry!

The scripture where she finds comfort can be found in Psalms 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and

I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Poochie will encourage our girls to walk into their full potential with greatness on their minds!

Poochie, Thank-you for taking stock in yourself and our girls! YOU ROCK!
